Pakistan has been under terrorist attack for a decade now and it has affected children and adolescents the most. This paper provides an insight into the supportive interventions done and tries to see their impact on young survivors of a deadly terrorist attack

Why is it important?

Although a lot has been written on post traumatic interventions but we still don't have a national strategy to deal with such tragedies specially in child and adolescent age group. This paper has tried to give insights into some basic supportive interventions we did and how it impacted the survivors as well as their family in times of crisis

Perspectives

The experience of working closely with these survivors gave me hope in future of my country as I witnessed resilience, collegiality and defiance in these survivors. This article helped me formulate a future plan for dealing with national tragedies
