Why is it important?

Anti-trans 'bathroom bills' have been proposed across the U.S. These bills are based on misinformation and often rely on scare tactics to bar trans people from using the washroom that corresponds with their identity. This paper speaks to the importance of gender-neutral washrooms and argues that 'gender policing' is harmful to one's sense of self.

Perspectives

I had a wonderful time writing this paper with my colleagues. I hope it helps readers understand the importance of having safe, accessible gender-neutral washrooms that can be used by anyone.
