Why is it important?

Intimate partner violence is a rising issue and screening individuals is the key to detection and to get them the assistance they need

Writing this article was a great please as it has a co-author, Dr. Bianchi, with whom I have had long standing collaborations. This article also lead to the development of an IPV screening process which includes healthcare provider education and development of an IPV policy. The project results indicated that health care providers had increased confidence and felt comfortable in screening for IPV after the project.
