Why is it important?
Just Cause signaled a shift toward justifying US interventionism on behalf of democracy and reflecting the sovereign will of the people. I believe that the invasion ultimately set in motion a chain of events that led to the invasion of Baghdad in 2003.
Perspectives
I hope this essay will contribute to raising awareness about the invasion of Panama and its impact, both on the US and elsewhere.
