What is it about?

This paper describes the evolution of ICT within the context of new war technologies and the ongoing process of battlefield digitization. Particular features of this new warfare dimension compared to the conventional domains of Land, Sea, Air and Space, at the operational and strategic levels. Complimentary view of Info-war, lying at the semantic level (Internet seen as a global communication medium), including propaganda, information, disinformation, consensus building etc. Cyber-warfare put within an international perspective, discussing the current public international debate on this topic in terms of global stability

A deeply multi-interdisciplinary approach is paramount in the development of concepts needed to analyze the consequences of ICT evolution in warfare and social domain, including the political and the diplomatic level.
