What is it about?

This book is a collection of articles, some describing the Corpus of English Philosophy Texts (CEPhiT) and some others exploiting it. The texts have been carefully selected and compiled, encoded and revised to reproduce late Modern English for Specific Purposes.

Why is it important?

It is important because it proves that the CEPhiT is an excellent way to describe the language of philosophy texts used in texts published from 1700 t o 1900 in English.

Perspectives

We hope the book helps readers have new perspectives on domain-specific discourse. As each chapter adopts a different perspective, we are sure it will provide an excellent overview of the situation of philosophical discourse and may help other researchers explore CEPhiT.
