What is it about?
In English there are tags that adapt to the preceding clause as in It's raining, isn't it? and She won't come, will she? It has been claimed that only English has tags of this kind. This article shows that similar tags are found in at least ten other languages, e.g. Welsh, Portuguese and Norwegian. The features of such tags in these languages are compared.
