Why is it important?

Some of the articles contained in the volume are original and can shed new light on a period, Late Modern, which is not so researched as previous periods as to letter writing.

Perspectives

It is my opinion that what is important is that in this volume different genres of letters are analysed, not just literary letters, from a linguistic and pragmatic perspective offering novel insight on this text type in a period when the letter was used for many purposes, not merely to convey information.
