What is it about?

This article looks at translation across media, and specifically from the medium of painting into dance, as possible locus for LGBTQ+ activism. It focuses on choreographer Marie Chouinard's dance performance based on Hieronymus Bosch's triptych The Garden of Earthly Delights, and referring more in general to her work, the article shows how the theatre stage can become a space of negotiation of visibility, identity, and sexuality, from which to elaborate fluid conceptions of gender and empowering models for translators.
