What is it about?

The number of language learning applications currently available is overwhelming. It's difficult to know what is out there, and what is worthwhile. This paper details the language learning approach of Falou, a newer language learning application, describes the main tasks learners are asked to complete, and assesses how the application succeeds and falls short of reaching its aims.

Why is it important?

Teachers, researches, and learners alike do not have the time to test out every language learning application that comes to market, nor do they want to spend the money often required for extended use of the application or for access to all its features. Thoughtful reviews of language learning applications offer an alternative option.
