What is it about?
We show that human neutrophils studied using perforated-patch conformation respond dramatically to stimulation with PMA. Electron currents turn on that reflect electron flux across the membrane via NADPH oxidase. Simultaneously, the proton channels (HVCN1) are greatly enhanced, which we later show to re4sult from phosphorylation of the channel at Thr29.
