What is it about?

This mouse line has a thyroid hormone receptor that carries a mutation R429Q. This mutation was though before to be responsible for the Central form of the human syndrome of resistance to thyroid hormone. However, in the mouse model, we showed that the mice are affected different concerning negative and positive regulation by T3.
