What is it about?
Many schools in Indonesia no longer have language laboratories, making it difficult for teachers to teach English pronunciation. This research developed an interactive e-learning system with speech recognition technology as an alternative to language laboratories. The results showed that this system was proven to help students improve their pronunciation in an easier, more engaging, and more affordable way.

Why is it important?
This is important because: 1. Pronunciation is a basic skill that is difficult to teach without the help of technology. 2. Most schools do not have language laboratories because of expense and limited facilities. 3. Instructors can teach more easily, and learners are more interested in learning since the system is practical and interactive. 4. This e-learning platform is available at any time and from any place, removing the need for expensive infrastructure. 5. Fosters equal access to learning technology; schools in rural areas can also be advantaged by educational technology.
Perspectives
I think the e-learning technology discussed in this article can be implemented in the majority of schools in Indonesia. I frequently go to schools and they usually lack language laboratories. This will naturally make it challenging for teachers to teach valuable skills like English pronunciation. The suggested solution in this article, which is the use of an interactive e-learning system with speech recognition, is an effective and innovative idea. I see this system not just as a substitute for language laboratories but also as a move towards equal access to technology-based learning.
