What is it about?
Electrical Vertical Take Off and Landing (eVTOL) Aircraft represent the key for next generation sustainable air mobility. We studied by numerical simulations the aerodynamic interactions of a quad-rotor vehicle representing one of the most promising architectures among eVTOLs.

Why is it important?
We showed that the use of the mid-fidelity numerical approach implemented in DUST solver, less expensive than a classical CFD is capable to highlights the effects of aerodynamic interactions among rotors on the vehicle performance.
Perspectives
I hope that this article could encourage students and company aerodynamic specialists to the use of the mid-fidelity solver DUST for a faster and accurate study of next generation eVTOL vehicles.
