What is it about?

Raw cotton naturally contains small foreign particles. To eliminate these impurities, UXK (Universal Cotton Cleaning) units are employed in primary cotton processing facilities. These units utilize spiked drums to perform cotton loosening and moisture reduction. This article presents the effectiveness of removing fine contaminants from raw cotton through mechanical loosening combined with low-amplitude vibration. The loosening process significantly reduces the presence of fine impurities in the cotton, while vibration-induced moisture reduction contributes to improved fiber quality.

Why is it important?

Currently, the global increase in population has led to a growing demand for cotton fiber. As the demand for clean and high-quality cotton-based clothing and other related products rises, the need for efficient processing methods that minimize technological impact while ensuring high product quality has become a pressing issue.

Perspectives

In this publication, I have proposed a technological solution designed to reduce the amount of fine impurities in raw cotton using only two machines, instead of the conventional three or four. I believe that the desired result can be achieved with this approach, and I have conducted experimental testing to validate its effectiveness.
