What is it about?
This research included the preparation of new Schiff base compounds. First, reaction 2-amino-6-methoxybenzothiazole with p-aminoacetophenone was prepared to produce the compound [H1]. The second phase involves the resulting compound reacting with hydrochloric acid and sodium nitrate with stirring and cooling to form diazonium salts by coupling reaction. The prepared diazonium salt was reacted with P-hydroxycinnamaldehyde to give the azo compound [H2]
