What is it about?
In this paper, numerical simulation via AUTODYN and data analysis via Origin were used to study the activation behaviors of PTFE/AL cores under impact load from four aspects: projectile caliber, impact velocity, RHA steel target thickness and tungsten alloy warhead thickness.

Why is it important?
The activation model of reactive core was established by multiple regression analysis for the first time. On this basis, the damage law of PTFE/AL projectiles on the Al target plate behind the RHA steel targets was studied, and the prediction model of penetration-explosion damage behind RHA steel targets under the impact of PTFE/AL projectiles was obtained.
Perspectives
Under the influence of projectile caliber, impact velocity, RHA steel target thickness and head metal block thickness, the prediction effect of the multiple relationship index model is significantly better than that of the binary surface fitting model, and the error of the comparison test results is within the allowable range. The research method has certain guiding significance for the damage evaluation of PTFE/AL projectile.
