What is it about?

Probabilities in quantum mechanics are determined by Born's rule. I give my own arguments for the Born rule, and in that connection I point at my general new approach towards quantum foundation. I also discuss interpretations of quantum probabilities. In particular, I reject the standpoint that these always can be seen as subjective Bayesians, as claimed by the QBists. A discussion between Andrei Khrennikov and two QBists are commented upon.

Why is it important?

For quantum sciemntists it is important to have a clear foundation of quantum probabilities, and also a clear interpretation. Unfortunately, there are many unclear papers on these issues in the literature.

Perspectives

I have a background as a statistician, and the final goal of my research is to build a bridge between statistical theory and quantum theory. Then quantum probabilities must also be introduced to statisticians. The present paper can be seen as one of the staring points for doing so.
