What is it about?
The objective of this research paper is to provide the optimal solution to society for self-recognizing the gemstone itself by their live camera so they can know where it has to be worn. The proposed model is based on a deep neural network, the YOLO v5 model, which can identify the gemstone based on automatic feature extraction within a fraction of a second. The proposed model is 99% confident and ready to predict the relevant finger and its hand to wear the detected gemstone. It is hoped that this research will be successful in removing the problems related to identifying the gemstones for middle-class people and will prevent people from going to a gemologist every day.

Why is it important?
When problems increase in life and no remedy is found, then a person runs towards astrology and gemology. Gemology can give some relief to the people but if it is used properly then only. Sometimes people are so much curious to solve the problems of the future by using gemology and astrology so that they can wear the various gemstones on their fingers by spending more money. But it is also essential to know about the gems that you are wearing on your finger. The proposed research work is fruitful for such types of people who want to know about gemstones and their purpose. The proposed work is based on the YOLO V5 algorithm which can detect the gemstone within a fraction of a second while a normal person can take minutes to hours to do it. Users can use this model by opening a live web camera or by uploading the image. It is more accurate on uploaded videos also. The model is 99% accurate and it can be deployed on our android mobile phone also.
Perspectives
Writing this article was a great pleasure to me as it has my co-author Dr. Suyash Mishra who is Data Scientist in reputed organisation with whom I have had long standing collaborations. Hopefully this article will be successful in reducing the curiosity of the people regarding gemstones and the trouble of identifying it.
