Comparing methods for extractive summary of short texts.

What is it about?

We took millions of tweets(posts) from the social media platform Twitter(now "X"), and tried extracting meaningful news summaries from it using a set of text processing methods, and determining which method performs better under what conditions.

Why is it important?

We determined key conditions where these legacy methods succeeded or failed with respect to each other, and also explored some ideas that could significantly boost result quality and may bring it closer to more sophisticated techniques.
