What is it about?

The Optical limitation is a process or phenomenon in which the group of operations contributes, consisting of the absorption spectrum and light propagation, The lithium Triborate crystal (LiB3O5, LBO) has wide application in various optical nonlinearity problems, as a result to a strong set of physical properties, such as broad transparency range, high effectively nonlinear coefficient, small angular spectrum, temperature matching phase bands, and altitude degree for damage threshold.

Why is it important?

The aim of this study is to show and explain the behavior of LBO crystal as an optical limiter to achieve an eye-safe limiting threshold as well as high damage for laser with CW in the visible range of the spectrum and also studied that the LBO crystal which has a low limiting threshold and high damage threshold and can be controlled to use as good limiting behavior.
