What is it about?
Design an augmented PI controller to control nonlinear dynamic systems, which can easily decrease the effect of the non-linearity’s, external disturbances and uncertainty. Automatic Voltage Regulator (AVR) systems are nonlinear and their operating conditions can vary over a wide range. A sigmoid function for Automatic Voltage Regulator (AVR) system, in order to maintain a stable and constant terminal voltage for synchronous generator (SG).

Why is it important?
the proposed controller gives better robust control through the use different loads and synchronous generators, in addition to the use of an additive white noise to the input of the generators.
Perspectives
AVR is the main responsible parts quality of power and stability of voltage in electrical system. To design high performance excitation controllers an enormous of new control theories and methods have been introduced to deal with the problem of transient response stability for nonlinear synchronous generator models.
