What is it about?
The article describes how to conduct research on the possible occurrence of defects during the manufacturing of certain parts. These parts may include compressor and pump discs used in the oil refining and gas industry.

Why is it important?
When processing and operating non-rigid parts, a typical defect is a shape deviation, which manifests itself in the axial displacement of the disc blade relative to its rim, resulting in a large number of defective parts. The research results will help reduce the number of low-quality products.
Perspectives
This work will allow you to conduct research on the possible occurrence of defective parts and prevent defects at the design stage. Most of all, I hope that this article will make you think.

Calculation-experimental Method of Determining the Propensity for Warping Non-rigid Disks of Hydraulic Machine
In work is considered a way of forecasting of axial displacement of a surface of a nonrigid disk during its processing due to modelling real conditions.
The causes of errors in the processing of non-rigid parts are described.
Methods of producing workpieces for axial compressor disks are considered, along with machining methods. The factors responsible for machining errors are identified. The formation of inherited residual stress in the disk’s surface layer is studied, and its influence on the accuracy of the products is analyzed.
Reducing processing errors reduces production costs and increases product life.
