What is it about?
One type of the three-wave interaction process - the parametric decay instability (PDI) is of interest for nuclear fusion researches, where microwave beams are used for plasma diagnostics and plasma heating. Plasma turbulence can lead to significant distortion of a probing beam, the PDI is investigated taking into account this beam distortion in this work.
