Why is it important?

The impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on the Vietnamese economy has been significant, with the tourism industry being hit particularly hard. The fear of tourists, travel restrictions, and flight bans have caused hotels, restaurants, and retail chains in tourist destinations to become empty, resulting in a sharp decline in revenue for the tourism industry. Hoi An Ancient City, a famous World Cultural Heritage destination in Vietnam, is no exception and is facing many difficulties and challenges. This situation has never been witnessed in the more than 60-year history of the tourism industry. It is crucial to prepare and get ready for the revival and development of Hoi An Ancient City. To become a green and ideal destination after Covid, appropriate and necessary strategies must be put in place. This article selects Hoi An Ancient City as a case study for similar cases globally. We can see the potential for Hoi An to be a sustainable, green city. With the right strategies and control, we can promote it as a desirable destination. Let's work together to create a brighter future for Hoi An.
