What is it about?

The motion of levitated charged nanoparticles in a vacuum was monitored with a simple CMOS camera module. The particle images were taken at > 200 fps and real-time processed to extract the position of the particle with high precision. By counteracting the motion of the particle with an electric field, we can damp the motion.
