What is it about?

In this paper, a three-floor elevator prototype is driven by a permanent magnet synchronous linear motor locally designed and manufactured to lift a 25kg payload. The result showed that using the driver reduces the jerk by about 88% compared to that without the driver.

The proposed model achieved convincing results regarding system control, responsiveness, speed, and smooth and comfortable transition between elevator floors.

Perspectives

Writing this article was a great pleasure because it is directly related to the comfort of citizens and their movement in buildings smoothly and safely. This article also leads to elevator groups contacting me and ultimately to greater involvement in the production of research that uses new technologies in elevator motors.
