What is it about?

All CFD codes address Navier-Stokes equation systems in their textbook form. Based on erudite Taylor series manipulations CFD truncation error annihilation (TEA) theory fundamentally alters these systems to remove all classic theory generated error mechanisms. Net is guaranteed generation of artificial diffusion- and aliasing error- free high order accurate monotone CFD predictions. Additionally, errors due to physics-based turbulence closure modeling can now be totally eliminated by finite element code implementation of a newly derived, TOTALLY analytical space filtered Navier-Stokes CFD theory valid for all Reynolds numbers.

Why is it important?

Accurate prediction of the genuine "mathematics of physics of fluids" phenomena requires elimination of five decades persistent low order accurate CFD theory/code error mechanisms, now enabled via TEA implemented, turbulence modeling-free, arbitrary Reynolds number space filtered Navier-Stokes CFD analytical theory.

Perspectives

Summarized are rigorous error annihilation identifications generated during three decades of CFD theory PhD dissertation research conducted in the UT CFD Laboratory.
