What is it about?

A good healing patch property has almost a similarity to human skin. In order to obtain mechanical properties of a healing patch, a tensile or pulling test was implemented to observe the maximum elasticity until it breaks. Therefore, the maximum elasticity that is almost parallel to human skin properties are able to make the wounds or scars looks presentable. Apart from that, the healing patch made of natural biopolymer should be biodegradable through soils and water. In fact, we could save our ecosystem with sustainable resources.

Why is it important?

There is various healing patch that is available on the market but non-biodegradable. Therefore, a healing patch that has biodegradability with good hyperelasticity would save the ecosystem

Perspectives

This paper is about the mechanical properties of natural ingredients such as gelatin to be implemented as a potential healing patch.
