What is it about?
In this study, the temperature effects of an LED therapy device within a tissue-mimicking material and on its surface were investigated. We investigated whether the lights of the LED therapy device is safe for human use or not.

Why is it important?
We showed that the LED therapy device used and sold in the market at the moment is safe for daily use.
Perspectives
What we did in this study was basically to show that phantom / tissue-mimicking material studies can be used as a tool for safety testing of light-based devices (LED, IPL, and Laser). And we showed that we achieved this goal.
