Why is it important?
I did not expect the proof to be so simple. It turns out that, by playing with root systems for $U(2m)$ and $Sp(m)$, I found out that the original unitary conjectures imply my symplectic conjectures.
Perspectives
This is a complete and simple proof of the fact that the unitary conjectures imply the symplectic ones. Sir Michael Atiyah had the intuition that this should be true, but his idea was different.
