What is it about?
Leptinotarsa decemlineata Say is among the most important pests in potato-growing regions of the world. Therefore, endophytic microorganisms are resource for biocontrol of pest. It has been found that the endophytic strain Bacillus subtilis 26D increases mortality of L. decemlineata adults and larvae, disturbing the digestive system of the pest and stimulating jasmonate-related plant defence reactions.
