What is it about?
Optical frequency combs are large arrays of evenly spaced phase-locked optical frequencies, which provide capabilities for ultra-precise measurements in modern science like atomic clock networks, astronomy, distance measurements/laser ranging, spectroscopy. This paper examines the synchronization of two mode-locked laser frequency combs enabled by the self-organization of the system which is formed through the mutual optical coupling of the two lasers.
