What is it about?

In this work, we present a fast and effective method for synthesizing VO2 nanoparticles starting from the V2O5 precursor. The technique consists of laser ablation in water and subsequent heat treatment. In this article we present several analysis techniques and prove the reduction of the transition temperature with the reduction in the size of the nanoparticles.

Why is it important?

The reduction of the transition temperature and a quick and effective method for synthesizing these nanoparticles favor their application in different areas.

Perspectives

We hope that the results presented can favor the application of VO2 nanoparticles in different technological products as well as expanding academic knowledge for other possibilities, such as reducing the size of nanoparticles, doping, among others.
