What is it about?

Modulation instability is a crucial phenomenon as it has the potential to give rise to rogue waves. Through the Floquet analysis of the analytical doubly periodic solution of the nonlinear Schrödinger equation, a correlation between the unstable growth rate and the frequency is established.
