What is it about?

Imagine that you are able to replicate the functionalities of the skin? Or Imagine a robotic hand able to sense objects and take decisions ! This paper provides a proof-of-concept prototype for building an artificial electronic skin.

Why is it important?

The E-skin is very important for future human-machine interaction systems. Also, the fabrication of E-skin is on a paper substrate making it biodegradable, environmental friendly and low-cost.

Perspectives

I hope this work creates a deeper understanding of the material system and provides a path to create more high performance E-skins. The work is a smaller part of a larger goal of the team to replicate all the functionalities of the skin. I hope that the reader finds the article interesting and though provoking and helps and add values in his/her own research.
