What is it about?
The aerodynamic characteristics of two impinging jets play an important role in the melt-blowing process to form micro/nanofibrous filters. We have shown for the first time that the unique characteristics of the dual-impinging jets under the slot-die nozzle for controlling the melt-blowing airflow field.

Why is it important?
The interaction of two impinging jets is important in the melt-blowing process. The experimental work helps to gain a better understanding of the dual-impinging jets produced by the slot-die nozzle and to establish a quantitative description of the jets. Thus, not only valuable scientific information but also knowledge that could be used directly in practice are provided.
