What is it about?

Measuring equipment needs to evaluate uncertainties of thermophysical property data. This paper establishes new reference data for thermophysical properties of IUPAC standard ionic liquid, [C6mim][(CF3SO2)2N], in wide temperature ranges. These data can be used to calibrate instruments, helping to calculate uncertainty of the measured data in all R&D laboratories, and quality control and sustainable processes in industry.

Why is it important?

It actualizes and improves data published under a IUPAC project in 2009, inserting new data obtained by the authors and all data for each property available in the literature. Extends the number of properties and the temperature range. Helps instrument manufacturers to rely on reference data to access the performance of their instruments and increases the customers confidence.

Perspectives

Expected to be used by all that measure thermophysical properties of ionic liquids and IoNanofluids
