What is it about?

Due to the uncertainty of the incubation period and the variability of detection, as well as human mobility with long jumps in the COVID-19 epidemic, we propose a Lévy noise-driven SEIR model incorporating media coverage to analyze the outbreak of COVID-19.

Why is it important?

Our findings show: (i) stochastic perturbation may affect the dynamic behavior of the disease, and larger noise will be more beneficial to control its spread; (ii) strengthening social isolation, increasing the cure rate and media coverage can effectively control the spread of disease. Our results further clarify the effectiveness of existing control strategies in fluctuating environments.


I hope this article will give people a richer perspective on the spread of COVID-19, so that we can better prevent and control the epidemic and do a good job of self-prevention in a fluctuating environment .
