What is it about?
Acoustic levitation can be employed to manipulate, control objects, and containerless transportation of liquids. The purpose of our model is to calculate the force and torque on objects of arbitrary shapes and sizes and its translational and rotational resonance frequencies in a single-axis acoustic levitator.

Why is it important?
We have tested numerical models using a disk with an excellent experimental agreement. The models are also used for calculating the vertical, horizontal, and torsional trapping stiffness and its corresponding natural frequencies, showing a good agreement between simulation and experiments.
