What is it about?
The proposed three-way power divider is based on the Spoof Surface Plasmon Polariton mode of a wave. SSPPs is a kind of surface EM wave with attractive benefits such as 1-producing highly confined EM wave; 2-being naturally wide-band; 3-lower ohmic & dielectric loss, because of a highly confined EM-wave, compared to traditional technologies like microstrip and SIW; 4-good candidate for bend path & flexible substrate with low-loss.

Why is it important?
So, the proposed SSPP-based three-way power divider, which equally divides the initial power at the input port to one-third of power at output ports, could be a good candidate to use in microwave & millimeter-wave applications. It is a good supporter of bend path and flexible structures with low-loss in comparison to other traditional technologies.
