What is it about?

A very thin drainage device for intracorporal endoscopic negative pressure therapy drains duodenal secretions. This promoted healing of a iatrogenic perforation after ERCP. The drainage uses a double layered open-pore film, construction is simple: gastric openings of the drainage tube are wrapped with the film.

Why is it important?

In contrast to other drainage devices the new film drainage is very thin and can be placed easly similar to a gastric tube through the nose.

Perspectives

The new thin drainage device will open new indications in endoscopic treatment.
