What is it about?

Dielectric obeys fractional order power theorem, but all the traditional models are of interger order. In this paper, fractional calculus is applied to model the oil-paper compound insulation for the first time, which improves the fitting precision. Both low-frequency and broadband models are proposed, verified and applied respectively.

Why is it important?

The fractional low-frequency and broadband models for oil-paper compound insulation are proposed for the first time. The new models have higher fitting precision and can be used widely.
