What is it about?

Fuel cells are considered as one of the most promising sources of electrical energy that can meet environmental constraints. One of the important steps to ensure clean energy is seamlessly power transfer from the fuel cell to the grid. In this work, the behaviour of the fuel cell under AC load and grid connection of fuel cell system is simulated.

Why is it important?

Owing to the increasing energy demand and, correspondingly, the rapid decrease of resources for energy production, alternative energy sources are important nowadays. Besides, environmental pollution is an important problem for the world. It is necessary to take advantage of technology to protect the environment and improve the quality of life. Moreover, a new technology is needed for cars, homes and power plants. Fuel cell (FC) technology is one of the energy production technologies to meet those needs. FCs have some advantages such as economical, efficient, quiet, safe, clean source of energy and raw material diversity. Any material that has hydrogen can be reserved for FCs. FCs are one of the source of future energy production.
