A new power semiconductor device design

What is it about?

Insulated Gate Bipolar Transistors are main power semiconductor devices used in power electronic converters used to convert/transform the electric power to the desired quality and form. This paper describes design and evaluation of an efficient power semiconductor device.

Why is it important?

In this device design a low power loss switching device and a diode which can conduct current in the reverse conduction mode are integrated into one; this can reduce component count and show enhanced performance.
