What is it about?

The wireless network in present generation is a homogeneous network, where the different cell communicates by Horizontal handover scenario. In the future wireless network in Device to device communication, different networks work by using vertical handover forming the heterogeneous wireless network. In the presented work we considered the Bluetooth and Wi-Fi networks with the image as a source of data for transmission and switching the data between the diverse network based on the signal strength as threshold criteria and delay adjustment mechanism to recover the data.

Why is it important?

The future wireless network is based on the device to device (D2D) communication thus, handling the different data rate and transmitting the information between the various devices is an important issue. Thus the image as a source data and handling the different data rate and recovering the information is performed in our work.

Perspectives

This work is related to the heterogeneous wireless network formation between the Bluetooth and Wi-Fi networks. Generally, the homogeneous network exists between the Bluetooth and Wi-Fi, where the horizontal handover scenario exists for communication. The vertical handover scenario between this diverse operating network forming the hybrid wireless network by using an image as a source of data for transmission and adjusting the delay by buffer adjustment mechanism.
