What is it about?
This paper proposes a new measurement method to indicate the unbalance property of the multiple-circuit lines on the same tower. The method was applied to the simulation based on PSCAD which was worked out to analyse the line unbalance considering the impacts of ground wires and its suppression.

The proposed method is applicable and convenient to accurately calculate the parameters of the line unbalance and to select the optimal way to suppress the unbalance. The work can provide the theoretical guidance for the optimal design and the operation of the MCTLs on the same tower.
