What is it about?

For the back-to-back converter system, a coordinative impedance damping control method is proposed , which simultaneously modifies the connecting impedance of both DAB and inverter  to enhance stability. Conventional active damping theories mainly pay attention to individual converter, while in this paper, both the connected power converter are considerred to simultaneously offer damping functions, then the multi-converter system becomes better damped.

Why is it important?

When renewable energy is kept increasing in electrical power system, the stability of multi-converter ssytem will be involved. The power converter system has less inertia, therefore sigificant low frequency oscillations beomces a chanllenge to power system. This paper strives to resolve the oscillations in back-to-back solar power integration system, with the new perspective of coordination impedance damping control.

Perspectives

This atticle is a extending of my Ph.D. project, and I really enjoy the work of being both an electrical engineer and a researcher, since it is to discover the electrical world and share with other people. Hope we can discover and create more interesting electrical staff in the future.
