What is it about?

Standard CMOS modeling at low temperatures is very interesting. How does bulk MOS perform at low temperatures? Characterization and modeling of CMOS at cryogenic temperatures is presented in this paper.

Why is it important?

The first problem to solve when designing cryogenic CMOS circuits is transistor modeling. Using the resulting database and SPICE model, we can design and simulate integrated circuits for cryogenic applications including quantum computer readout and control systems.

Perspectives

Writing this article was a great pleasure as it has co-authors with whom I have had long standing collaborations. This article also lead to future work such as cryogenic logic gates.
