Why is it important?
Our students present with diverse backgrounds and communication needs. A puppet is an engaging, multisensory tool that can be easily adapted to meet listening, speaking, reading and writing goals.
Perspectives
Based on my forty years of experience in education, I've found puppets to be an incredibly flexible tool for intervention. They appeal to children from a wide range of backgrounds, language and literacy levels. Puppets have been part of human culture over thousands of years, and offer an opportunity to connect with children in a unique ,fun-filled way.
